Evaluating Sensor-Based Mechanical Weeding Combined with Pre- and Post-Emergence Herbicides for Integrated Weed Management in Cereals

چکیده

Due to the increasing number of herbicide-resistant weed populations and resulting yield losses, control must be given high priority ensure food security. Integrated management (IWM) strategies, including reduced herbicide application, sensor-guided mechanical combinations thereof are indispensable achieve this goal. Therefore, study examined pre- post-emergence applications with sensor-based harrowing hoeing in cereals by conducting five field experiments at two locations Southwestern Germany from 2019 2021. Each experiment contained an untreated a single treatment as comparison these IWM treatments. The effects different approaches on efficacy (WCE), crop density, grain were recorded. All set up randomized complete block design four repetitions. Pre-emergence application combined one-time subsequent (Pre-Herb + Harr Hoe) achieved highest WCE (100%), followed approach (95%) for two-times hoeing. In contrast, pre-emergence worst result average 25%. Grain was equal between all treatments 6 t ha?1 10 ha?1, except which 2.5 higher winter wheat 2021 that averaged 11 compared combination Pre-Herb Hoe 8.5 ha?1. results showed it is possible reduce replace herbicides while achieving equivalent WCE.

In order to investigate the effect of pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicides on nutrient depletion, weed population and nutrient uptake by wheat in sesame-wheat cropping system in Khuzestan a field experiment was conducted in randomized complete block design with three replications in the research farm of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz in 2019-2020. Treatments included no weeding, hand...

Response of Poaceous Weeds in Wheat to Post-Emergence Herbicides

Poaceous weeds are prolific and competitive in winter crops, but they are more insidious in wheat due to their similar morphology and growing requirements. Herbicides are effective and efficient tools of weed management, however, they are vulnerable to resistance, and herbicides with different modes of action might check the dominance of a particular weed flora. The current study was undertaken...

Alternatives to Synthetic Herbicides for Weed Management in Container Nurseries1

tion and fertilization rates create a favorable environment for weed growth in addition to crop growth. Weeds can quickly out-compete the crop for light and other resources, reducing the rate and amount of crop growth as well as salability (Berchielli-Robertson et al., 1990; Norcini and Stamps, 1992). Weed management in nursery production is most effectively achieved by preventative practices, ...
